TRANSFER B.O.O.S.T
The Transfer Student Center (TSC) invites new incoming transfer students to enroll in our FREE summer transitional series, Transfer BOOST (“Beginnings and Open Opportunities for Successful Transfers”). The TSC will facilitate meaningful conversations, workshops, and provide peer advising for transfer students throughout the summer that will be accessible virtually. Students enrolled in Transfer Boost will also receive specialized support in their transition into their first year while at UCI!

Transfer 101: Community College vs UC
Join us for an introduction of the TSC Team and presentation about our programs and services. We will also discuss key tips for transfers as they preapre for their first year at UCI. We will also discuss Community College vs. UC! We will discuss study strategies, time management, academic resources to support students on campus.
Navigating Academic Advising
Understand how schools and majors are structured on campus and learn how to approach your academic advisor with questions and concerns so you can stay on track for graduation. Discover the academic resources on campus that are here to support you in your courses.
Developing Confidence in College-Level Writing
Join us for a special presentation from the Center for Writing Excellence and Communication as they help you discover strategies for college writing. You will also have the opportunity to learn about resources they offer to support students in their writing including, support with essays, research papers, grad school personal statements, and more !
Find Your Community: Transfer Student Panel
Join us for a special panel of current UCI Transfer Students to talk about how to build community as a transfer student. Learn how to get involved with clubs and orgs at UCI, and leveraging various learning opportunities for your development.
How to Get Involved with Research
Join us for a special presentation from the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program as they discuss How to Get Involved with Research. Research is a great way to connect to faculty, gain practical knowledge in your field, prepare for graduate school and more! This workshop will give you an overview of how you can do research while at UCI.
Experiential Learning Panel
Join us for a panel to learn about to experiencial learning opportunities! The UCDC program and Study Abroad office will discuss how to take advantage of these opprtunities while at UCI!
