Tell us about yourself and your recent accomplishment: Born and raised in Los Angeles, makes him a novelty in itself, with several years of experience in the entertainment field. Merced has excelled in whatever he sets his focus on. His credits span across the entertainment spectrum in Music, Film & Television. He believes that education is important, and that being pliable is key in life’s advancements. Merced’s desire to nurture his love for filmmaking lead him to Los Angeles City College’s film program receiving an Associates in Cinema Production, still with an unquenched desire to hone his craft, he then transferred to UC Irvine, for Film Media Studies and is now receiving his Bachelors. He plans to continue to the MFA program at USC School of Cinematic Arts. Wile attending UCI he’s been recognized by Leadership organizations, won 2 awards for student films, selected as a Executive Producer overseeing 17 students through the entire film making process, and is currently Producing & Co-Directing a documentary for “Casa del Sol”, solar decathlon event hosted by UCI and the School of Engineering.
